    Realizing Independence Through Education (RITE) / United Way of Weld CountyRealizing Independence Through Education (RITE) supports at-risk youth and young adults who are transitioning to adulthood and independence by providing guidance, resources, and life skills that make this often challenging time more manageable. All attendees of the life skills classes are asked to fill out a survey to evaluate each class and the program overall. This survey was developed by a University of Northern Colorado research intern and RITE staff and is analyzed monthly. In the first quarter of 2013, 98% of the 70 returned surveys rated the classes excellent and 85% said they would be interested in future presentations. A systems navigator uses a self-sufficiency matrix and guidance tool to measure the success of each youth in the program.
