    Christmas Assistance - Project Merry ChristmasProvides assistance to children and families, seniors 65and older, and disabled persons in La Plata County, who experience shortcomings in their lives during the Christmas holiday season. Angels and Bells Tree is located the Durango Mall, 800 S Camino del Rio in Durango. The tree is for community members to adopt and Angel (child/family) or a Bell (senior/disabled) with a wish list of items for Christmas. This is also the location of the gift wrapping station that supports the program. Applications can be picked up at Human Services, The Family Center, Basin Health, WIC, Senior Center, Senior Housing and La Plata Schools and Headstart. Application can be dropped of at the application table located at the Northpoint Mall, 1315 Main Avenue, Durango. Applications must be received no later than December 8.
