    Institutions that acquire, preserve, research, exhibit and provide for educational use, objects or artifacts of artistic, cultural, historical, scientific or technological significance which are presented in a popular and fairly non-technical manner. Collections may include works of art; objects and artifacts that are related to the study of zoology, biology, botany, mineralogy, geology and other natural sciences, history, archeology, science and technology; materials related to motion pictures, sports, music, theater and other aspects of the arts and popular culture; memorabilia and other collectibles; or material relating to the history and achievements of a particular cultural or ethnic group. Most museums have auxiliary services which enhance the museum experience for visitors.

    Steelworks Center of the West - Bessemer Historical SocietyThe Steelworks Museum is housed in the former CF&I Medical Dispensary, built in 1901. The museum features exhibits related to all facets of CF&I and related industries’ impacts on the American West. CF&I was a strong force in the development of the history of Pueblo and Southern Colorado. At one time CF&I was the largest private landowner and the largest employer in Colorado and with ownership of mines and mining towns operated throughout the West, the company developed the economy and life in Pueblo as well as surrounding towns in Southern Colorado.     Youth Summer Programs (N Lincoln Ave) - Loveland Museum Gallery - City of LovelandYouth Summer Programs; Loveland Museum General Information: Enriching lives and connecting our community through diverse arts and history experiences. The following children's programs are offered through the summer: - Tot Art Classes: Friday, 10:30 am - 11:30 am, June 14th September 20th, 2019 for children 3 - 6 years old with an adult. Limited to 6 students. - Youth Art Classes: Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10:30 am - 2 pm, June 12th, August 15th, 2019 for children 6 - 11 years old. Limited to 8 students. - Teen Art Classes: Wednesdays, 2 pm - 4 pm, June 19th, July 17th, and August 7th, 2019, for teens ages 12 - 18.
