    Programs that provide crisis, short-term and/or ongoing counseling for people who are coping with the emotional trauma of being forced to engage in sexual intercourse or other sexual acts without their consent. Included are military sexual trauma (MST) counseling programs offered by facilities operated by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, which address the needs of veterans who have been traumatized by having experienced assault or repeated threatening sexual harassment which occurred while serving on active duty in the military. Counseling and support may be offered in a variety of settings and may include individual, conjoint, family and group therapy sessions for the survivor and/or significant others.

    Sexual Assault Support and Prevention - S.A.R.A., Inc.S.A.R.A. House Child Advocacy Center was established to assist in the investigative process of child sexual abuse cases. It was founded to provide a child-friendly, safe, and neutral enviroment where police investigators and detectives, social workers, mental health therapists, and medical professionals can talk with children and their families in surroundings that would lessen the anxiety of a child who has been victimized or is witness to a crime. Children and teens who have been sexually or physically abused can tell their stories to trained forensic interviewers, undergo comprehensive medical exams performed by specially trained sexual assault examiners and receive victim advocacy services in a safe, respectful environment as they begin to heal from the trauma they have experienced without being re-traumatized in the process.
