|CASA of Mesa County (Court Appointed Special Advocates||CASA Volunteers are sworn in as officers of the court and independently gather information on behalf of the court in cases of child abuse and neglect.
CASAs meet with the child a minimum of once a month, and regularly gather information from everyone in the child's life, including parents, extended family, foster parents, teachers, medical professionals, attorneys, social workers and others. CASAs use the information they gather to report back to the Court about the status of the case and the well-being of the child.
