Mutual support groups whose members are people who occasionally adopt the dress and sometimes the manner of the opposite sex but who are otherwise comfortable with their birth sex and its societal roles. Groups may focus on heterosexual cross dressers or other subpopulations, or may be structured for the parents, children, spouses or partners or significant others of cross dressers. The groups provide an opportunity for members to share their issues and concerns with other cross dressers in a safe, supportive environment. Meeting formats may include in-person, telephone or Internet options.
