    Programs that distribute condoms, lubricants, dental dams, bleach kits (ammonia or bleach for cleaning needles and instruction for use) and/or other supplies that can be used to help stop the spread of AIDS, other blood borne infectious diseases and sexually transmitted diseases among high-risk populations. Individuals who have a history of injection drug use, sex with a person with HIV/AIDS, sex with a man who has sex with other men, sex with an injection drug user, a sexually transmitted disease, or are exchanging money or drugs for sex are considered to be at high or increased risk.

    Access Point (Pueblo) - Southern Colorado Health NetworkFormerly known as the Southern Colorado AIDS Project. Access Point is a needs-based syringe access service working to stop the spread of Hepatitis C and HIV infection in Colorado. Sharing contaminated needles is one of the ways in which HIV can be spread, so by allowing persons who inject drugs to exchange used needles for new ones, the chance of HIV transmission is being removed. Unlike most client services, Access Point is available for anyone who needs it, whether they are a client of CHN or not. Access Point Pueblo operates on Tuesdays 10 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. & 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Southern Colorado Health Network office in Pueblo (807 N. Greenwood St. Ste. 200, Pueblo, CO 81003).     Prevention Services for Individuals Living with HIV (Greeley) / Northern Colorado AIDS Project (NCAP)Colorado Health Network (CHN) is a statewide organization in Colorado, serving nearly 5,257 individuals living with HIV/AIDS, and those at risk, as well as other program specific populations. CHN provides innovative, individualized services to those most in need, educates high risk populations, and advocates for social and health care equity. CHN empowers those living with or at risk of HIV to live healthier, enhanced lives by providing supportive services to those living with HIV/AIDS, and HIV and other health-related prevention and education services. CHN supports nearly 5,257 clients living with HIV each year, with oral health care services and through support services such as as case management, mental health and substance abuse counseling, housing assistance, transportation, nutrition services, and financial assistance. Each support service includes the ultimate goals of working with clients to make healthy choices, increase their stability, and access healthcare for enhanced, healthier lives. Since 1983, CHN has served more than 75 percent of the men, women, and children who have lived with HIV/AIDS in Colorado.
