    Programs that operate centers which facilitate a multidisciplinary approach to the investigation and treatment of child abuse cases. Services generally include videotaped interviews of child abuse victims in safe, child-friendly surroundings to avoid multiple interviews, reduce the trauma of disclosure and preserve statements for court purposes; crisis intervention and emotional support for victims and non-offending family members; forensic medical examinations; psychotherapy services including play therapy, family therapy and individual counseling for parents; support groups; case management; and interdisciplinary review of cases by teams of professionals including law enforcement, children's protective services, prosecution, medical, mental health, victim assistance, and child advocacy personnel.

    Child Advocacy - The CenterThe Western Slope Center for Children (WSCC) offers services for victims of child abuse and their families. Referrals are required from Law Enforcement or Social Services for interviewing of a child suspected of abuse. Abuse may be physical, sexual, psychological, and emotional or neglect. If abuse is suspected call local law enforcement or call the child abuse hotline at 970-242-1211 or 1-844-CO-4-KIDS (1-844-264-5437) Educational and supportive services are available to the community, and victims or families of victims.     Child and Adolescent Assessment and Treatment Program - Denver Children's Advocacy CenterServes children who have been sexually abused or traumatized by witnessing homicide or extreme acts of violence. DCAC uses the latest research and evidenced-based practices. DCAC also ensures that the treatment plan is coordinated, as appropriate, with caseworkers, teachers, and other professionals working with the family.
