    Emergency Financial Assistance - The Pinon Project Resource CenterProvides financial assistance to individuals residing in Montezuma and Dolores Counties who are in need of mortgage, rent, and utility bill assistance. Applicants are required to apply for LEAP between the months of November 1st and April 30th when asking for utility assistance.     Grants to Families - The Home Front CaresThe Home Front Cares serves all of Colorado's military community—every branch of service, active duty, Guard, Reserve or veteran. In order to qualify for assistance, those applying must be suffering a hardship that is in some way tied to their military service. If you or your family are in financial need, and you qualify for our assistance we can help with: Rent Utility bills Car payments/insurance/small repairs Other essential life expenses or emergency costs Our financial aid consists of grants, typically paid to your landlord, utility company or other vendor/service provider. When you are referred to The Home Front Cares, one of our case workers moves quickly to review your application and send it to our Case Review Committee (CRC). The CRC is comprised of five board members, three of whom must approve the grant via an electronic "drop box." When the CRC approves your case, checks are cut almost immediately, except on weekends and holidays. We will verify your military service along with financial needs, but we are built to move fast.
