Congregate meals are often combined with recreational, educational and social activities, and programs may include access to health services and/or information.     Aspen Mine Senior Club - Aspen Mine CenterThe Senior Club meets upstairs in the Aspen Mine Center dining room. Members gather each Monday, Wednesday and Friday for the Golden Circle lunches. Each Wednesday, the Timberline Artists group meets in the dining room. All are welcome. The Club sponsors the Wellness in Senior Health (WISH) program, in partnership with the Gold King Mountain Inn spa. WISH is a wellness program to encourage seniors age 50 and over to get or stay physically fit and active. Members of the Senior Club can enroll in WISH in two ways: (1) $75/year includes membership in both the Club and the spa; (2) with a $12 Club membership, seniors can add a $20 spa fee and serve 30 hours volunteering with the Club.     The Golden Circle Nutrition Program (GCNP) - Silver Key Senior ServicesThe Golden Circle Nutrition Program (GCNP) is a program of Silver Key. The program provides nutritious meals in a congregate social setting to eligible diners. Who is eligible? • Anyone 60 years of age or older • The spouse of an eligible diner • Disabled persons under 60 years of age who reside in housing facilities occupied primarily by older adults and at which congregate nutrition services are provided. How much do meals cost? The suggested donation for eligible diners is $2.25, but no eligible person is denied a meal because of inability to give. Donations are used to offset the cost of meals and expand the program to more seniors. For convenience, the GCNP accepts food stamps. If a friend or family member less than 60 years of age would like to join an eligible diner for lunch, they are welcome to do so. The guest fee for a non-eligible diner is $7.31.
