General Information
Description of ServiceProvides an educational opportunity for parents or caregivers with youth ages ten to fourteen through once-weekly classes for a total of seven weeks. Classes are designed to help parents and caregivers assist their youth prepare for the teen years, avoid drugs and alcohol, and strengthen family communication through youth activities, parent discussion and games. Childcare and incentives are provided.

Parents/Caregivers will learn:
- What to expect during these years
- How to establish rules and consequences
- How to solve problems with youth
- Ways to show love and support

Youth will learn:
- Effective stress management techniques
- Ways to resist peer pressure
- To appreciate parent/caregivers
- How to better get along with others

Families will:
- Have fun in activities and games
- Discuss what makes your family strong
- Learn to solve problems together
- Have access to child care during session (9 and under)
- Enjoy a free meal provided during class
