Provides options to take part in activities, luncheons and access needed resources through various organizations.
Senior Resource Services:
Senior Resource Services assists the elderly to remain independent and retain their dignity as long as possible in their home environment. All of the services are provided at no charge to individuals or their families. The program offers:
- Transportation Program - A volunteer provides transportation for the individual needing assistance to the dentist, doctor, grocery store and shopping.
- Person 2 Person - Volunteers are paired with the individual to offer emotional and practical support through regularly scheduled telephone calls.
- Time Out-Respite Care Program - A caregiver receives two hours per week while a trained volunteer cares for their loved one.

The CVPRD Active Adults Program provide a variety of fun activities and events, including fitness, wellness, education and social opportunities.
Each Wednesday luncheons are offered at the Senior Center beginning at noon. Seniors must call 303-833-2739 by 1 p.m. the Tuesday before if they plan to be at lunch. Call in cancellations must be made by 1 p.m. the Tuesday prior otherwise there will be a lunch charge.
Meals on Wheels of Weld County
Meals on Wheels was established in Weld County on April 1, 1970. The program has grown through the years and has expanded to serve all of Weld County, the largest county in Colorado.

Weld County Senior Nutrition Lunch Program
Firestone seniors are able to take part in a Weld County Senior Nutrition Lunch Program. Served each Tuesday and Thursday in the multipurpose room at the Carbon Valley Recreation Center, 701 E. Fifth St. in Frederick. This lunch is open to all seniors 60 years of age and older. There is a $3 suggested donation per meal, and any guest younger than 60 will be charged $10 for the meal. Meals are prepared by the University of Northern Colorado Dining Services and are nutritionally planned. Reservations for the lunch must be called in 24 hours in advance by calling the Carbon Valley Park and Recreation District at 303-833-3660. Menus can be viewed online.
