Prairie Family Center is a resource center located in Burlington, Colorado. We tailor our programs to each community's needs and available resources. We focus on programs that offer information on nutrition, exercise, bilingual assistance, social security insurance and other helpful programs; all in support of the family.
Our programs are designed to help all age levels as we offer nurturing parenting classes, youth exercise, weekly senior exercise classes, cooking classes for kids, teens, family and adults to name a few.

Prairie Family Center is a CAAS- Certified Application Assistance Site and works with all Kit Carson County Families to help the uninsured and under-insured have access to adult and child health insurance.

• Monthly Food Distribution: Food Bank of the Rockies
On every 2nd Monday of every month @ 9:00 a.m. till the food is gone, Prairie Family Center joins Food Bank of the Rockies to hand out nutritious food, bread and supplies. Bring a laundry basket; be at the Community Center by 9 a.m. to participate.
Senior Commodity Supplemental Food Program:
On every 4th Thursday of every month @ 10:30 a.m. - 12 Noon Prairie Family Center joins Food Bank of the Rockies to hand out Commodity Supplemental Food Program at 1365 1/2 Senter stop by the office to apply, must be 60 years of age or older.
