Description of Service
Formerly known as the Southern Colorado AIDS Project.
Access Point is a needs-based syringe access service working to stop the spread of Hepatitis C and HIV infection in Colorado. Sharing contaminated needles is one of the ways in which HIV can be spread, so by allowing persons who inject drugs to exchange used needles for new ones, the chance of HIV transmission is being removed. Unlike most client services, Access Point is available for anyone who needs it, whether they are a client of CHN or not.
Access Point Pueblo operates on Tuesdays 10 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. & 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Southern Colorado Health Network office in Pueblo (807 N. Greenwood St. Ste. 200, Pueblo, CO 81003). Syringe access and rapid HIV & Hepatitis C testing are free and confidential. Contact us at (719) 621-1105 for additional information.
