General Information
Description of ServiceCompass: the Weld County Family Services Team is a collaborative effort comprised of professionals from a wide variety of Weld County service organizations. The program strives to build on the strengths of youth and their families by increasing protective factors and reducing problematic behaviors. Family services are individualized to the needs of each youth and their family. Se Habla Español.
Urgent Services ProvidedEnable the families to help themselves and their children
•Empower and strengthen adults in their roles as parents
•Help prevent problems rather than just correct them
•Encourage and enable families to solve their own problems
•Increase parents' confidence and competence in their parenting abilities
•Promote the flow of resources and support to families


What specific services are offered?
• Case management
• Brief individual counseling and family sessions
• Parent support groups
• Educational groups, such as: character development, gang prevention, and substance abuse awareness
• Bilingual staff and interpreters
• Circle of Parents Support Groups – Greeley and South Weld County

Circle of Parents Support Group:
Circle of Parents Support Group is a highly interactive parenting program that helps equip parents with the skills necessary to help children in difficult situations including drug and alcohol use, school and homework problems, delinquency, and other behavioral concerns. Circle of Parents Support Group meet at the following location and is open to any parent, from anywhere.

EligibilityAll of the following criteria must be met to be eligible for services:
•Weld County families with children ages 5-18
•Weld County families with children age 18-19, if the child is a full-time student in a secondary school, obtaining their GED or enrolled in a vocational training program and expected to complete the program before age 19
•Families who are not currently involved with child welfare
