Description of Service
Provides free Home Energy Efficiency Upgrades for those who qualify, which includes the following services and more:
- Furnace and refrigerator replacement
- Storm windows
- Weather stripping
The Weatherization Assistance program is a free service for low-income residents who want to save money by using less energy.
Chaffee, Clear Creek, Eagle, Garfield, Grand, Jackson, Lake, Moffat, Park, Pitkin, Rio Blanco, Routt, Summit counties

If utility bills are a recurring hardship, consider applying for this program.
Residents of the service area must meet eligibility/income guidelines; applicants automatically qualify if they receive benefits from the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Old Age Pension (OAP), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP), or Aid to Needy Disabled (AND) programs. Homes previously weatherized since 1994 are not eligible.
