Description of Service
Provides referrals, self–help and education, legal consultation, and/or direct representation for the following types of cases:
- Education Advocacy - Serves youth and children with behavioral challenges. Assistance can include Individualized Education Plan/504 assistance and enforcement, school to disciplinary procedures, or general advocacy work.
- Caregiver Advocacy - Serves non-parent caregivers such as grandparents, foster parents, or non-relative caregivers. Offers assistance with power of attorney, guardianship, allocation of parental rights, and adoption.
Cases are reviewed on a case by case basis to evaluate their individual eligibility and merits. Types of service from community referrals, legal advice or information, to full representation, will be determined.

Children and youth aged 0 to 21. In custody cases, legal services are not available to biological parents.
