Description of Service
Provides assistance to homeowners in Jefferson County for essential repairs and necessary improvements to their home. Primarily assists individuals who are elderly or disabled on fixed incomes, and working, low- to moderate-income families. Will assist with obtaining competitive bids, finding a qualified contractor, preparing loan and construction documents, inspecting the work, and authorizing payments as the work progresses. Rental assistance and emergency housing are NOT provided.

Applicants will need to provide the following documentation:
- Proof of income
- Proof of residency
- Social security number
- Other documents as necessary

Individuals must own the home (i.e., name must be listed on title) and live in the home as one's primary residence. The home must be located in Jefferson County (including the City of Westminster, but excluding Arvada). Call for other eligibility requirements.

Call for current fees.
Depending on income, applicants may be eligible to receive low or no interest loans (3% or 5%), or a deferred loan. All deferred loans are paid back when the house sells or is no longer the owner’s primary residence and are not transferable.
