At the Aurora Municipal Court, Gateway houses a Court Advocacy Program (CAP) that provides victims of domestic violence with emotional support, information on their legal options and court processes, and obtain no contact letters (with an open court case) for those involved in domestic violence incidents. All domestic violence cases at the Aurora Municipal Court are directed to Gateway.

An initial referral comes from the police department. A referral is needed from Aurora Municipal Court. Walk in at the Municipal Court during office hours. Call for more information on the process.
Bring all legal forms concerning the case and any other necessary paperwork.
No divorce or child custody cases, however Gateway will provide referrals to other agencies for these cases.

Victims of domestic violence with a criminal case, in Aurora who are referred from Aurora Municipal Court. If no criminal case is on file, referrals to other resources will be provided.
