General Information
Description of ServiceFood assistance helps low-income individuals and families with the costs of purchasing food. This program is a supplement to a household's nutritional needs for the month.

Beginning October 1st, 2018, dial 2-1-1 to start a SNAP application over the telephone.

Intake ProcedureWalk in or visit Colorado PEAK at https://coloradopeak.secure.force.com to complete an application or call to request an application via mail or fax. An interview will also be completed in-person or over the phone to determine eligibility.
Helpful TipsWhen calling to request an application or status of benefits, have case number or social security number handy.

Help applying for SNAP benefits is at the following locations:
- Castro Building, 1200 Federal Blvd
- East Office, 3815 Steele St
- Montbello Satellite Office, 4685 Peoria St

Food assistance participants may be eligible to participate in the Employment First program.

The MyCOBenefits app is available to individuals who receive SNAP, Colorado Works, and Adult Financial benefits and is available in both the Apple and Android app stores. The app allows users to access their benefit information, report changes, check EBT card balances and more.

Colorado SNAP recipients receive discounted general admission of $1 per person, up to 10 people at the following museums and cultural centers (EBT card must be presented at the ticket counter):

Note: $1 admission good only for general admission. EBT card cannot be used to purchase admission tickets, at gift shops, or at
caf├ęs/restaurants; tickets for special exhibits must be purchased separately and cannot be purchased with EBT card. Offer may not be valid on event days. Check website of each museum/cultural center for special event days.
*Admission to Chatfield Farms is $1 per car.
**Denver Zoo and History Colorado Center programs are pilots and may be canceled at any time.
