General Information
Description of ServiceProvides citizens with protection from fire, enforcement of laws, ordinances, and regulations relating to fire prevention and fire safety, and other related functions to insure public safety and minimize loss of life and property damage.

A new program performed by the City of Pueblo Fire Department is now in effect to provide carbon monoxide and smoke detectors to citizens of qualified low income status.

EligibilityFor the Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Detector program, participants must:
- Be a resident within the city limits of Pueblo
- Be low or fixed income homeowners (receiving SSI, Food Stamps, SRDA recipients, LEAP, etc)
- Be otherwise unable to purchase or install devices
- Agree to a Home Safety Survey performed in the residence at the time of installation
