RestorativeJustice (RJ) Program

General Information
Description of ServiceDiverts first-time juvenile offenders from the traditional court process and allows participants the opportunity to take responsibility for their actions through a discussion with parents, victims, and community volunteers. Through this process, the group is able to explore the harm that was caused as a result of the juvenile's poor choice. All participants develop creative solutions to the crime. Volunteers assist victims in moving toward healing and model acceptable standards of behavior.

Opportunities are available to become a volunteer with the program.
