Description of ServiceTraining opportunities offered include:

- YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID (YMHFA)
YMHFA is designed for adults who regularly interact with young people and teaches how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis.

Cost: Free, space is limited to 25 participants
Dates: August 20th and September 24th, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

- Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR)
QPR is 1 HOUR CLASS TO LEARN a "Gatekeeper" information on helping those who are thinking or planning suicide. It is a great lunch and learn class for the work place.

- APPLIED SUICIDE INTERVENTION SKILLS TRAINING (ASIST)
ASIST training is a tow day workshop that provides a unique, life-assisting intervention model to help caregivers support persons at risk. It also helps caregivers contribute to the development of suicide-safer resources in their communities.

Cost: $125 per participant, $75 for CMU Students, $50 for Nonprofit Employees, Scholarships available
Dates: August 2nd & 3rd; September 6th & 7th; October 11th & 12th

- Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)
MHFA is a program designed to help people understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders with the goal of supporting those in crisis until appropriate professional help arrives.

Cost: Free, space is limited
Dates: August 17th, September 14th, October 19th, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
