General Information
Description of ServiceOffers emergency assistance ONLY to individuals and families of the Estes Valley who are temporarily in need, with the following types of assistance:

- Food
- Partial rent or utility bills
- Prescription assistance
- Emergency short term lodging (e.g. motel voucher)
- Clothing vouchers
- Household goods vouchers
- Showers or laundry services vouchers
- Gasoline, transportation in an emergency, or other emergency needs may be considered

**Individuals stranded in Estes Valley can also call for assistance.

Intake ProcedureCall to schedule an appointment for financial assistance. No appointment needed for food assistance.
Intake RequirementsNew clients in need of food assistance must complete an intake process and provide the following documents:
- Photo ID
- Proof of residency
- Proof of income (e.g., SSI, TANF, VA Benefits or earned income)
Current clients in need of food assistance only need to provide a Photo ID.

For rent assistance the goal is to avoid eviction. Individuals and families must reside in Estes Valley and provide the following documentation:

- Photo ID
- Proof of residency
- Proof of income (e.g., SSI, TANF, VA Benefits or earned income)
- Must have a 3-day notice or 10-day demand (if applicable)
- Must have an eviction notice (if applicable)
- Must have a current/active lease

For utility assistance the goal is to avoid shut-off. Individuals and families must reside in Estes Valley and provide the following documentation:
- Photo ID
- Proof of residency
- Proof of income (e.g., SSI, TANF, VA Benefits or earned income)
- Shut-off notice (if applicable)

Self-sufficiency education classes are mandatory for clients receiving non-food assistance.
