Description of Service
Assists clients with up to $500 for first month's rent.
Clients will be required to attend a one-on-one housing counseling session with a housing counselor to evaluate eligibility, discuss renters' rights, budgeting, and the new lease.
This program does NOT cover deposit fees unless the client will be residing in subsidized or section 8 housing.
Clients will be asked to participate in a follow up session.
Assistance provided at Plymouth Congregational Church, 916 W Prospect Rd, on Fridays, 9-11:30am.
Walk in for assistance.
Clients will need to provide the following documentation:
- Proof of homelessness or unstable situation; 3-day notice
- Proof of income
- Copy of unsigned lease
- Photo I.D.
Specific income requirements apply, call for more information.
First month's rental assistance is provided by Neighbor to Neighbor but housed at the Murphy Center. Walk in hours M-Th 9-11am, 1-3pm. If there is a high demand in a morning or afternoon session, there will be a lottery.
Assistance also available at Plymouth Congregational Church, located at 916 W Prospect Rd, 9-11:30am.
