Description of Service
Aid to the Blind (AB) provides a small cash assistance benefit to low income Colorado residents who meet the Social Security Administration's definition of blindness while they are waiting for SSI approval.
Urgent Services Provided
Aid to the Needy Disabled (AND) provides a small cash assistance benefit to low-income Colorado residents ages 18-59 who have a physical or mental disability for at least six-months that precludes them from working. AND payments supplement SSI.
Old Age Pension (OAP) provides financial (and sometimes medical) assistance to Colorado residents who are in need and have reached the minimum age of 60 by providing full Medicaid coverage and supplements income up to a maximum of $699 per month.

For AB and AND, clients must be legally blind or disabled, 18-59 years old, and eligible for SSI. For OAP, clients must be a Colorado resident and at least 60 years old.Other eligibility requirements may apply.
