Should it be in the child’s best interest to be removed from the home due to issues of health and safety, the Child Protection Ongoing Unit will work with the parents to address these issues through use of a treatment plan with the end goal of reunifying the family, if at all possible.
The Screening Department is responsible for taking reports of alleged child abuse and neglect, as well as allegations of at-risk adult abuse and neglect.
