General Information
Description of ServiceWCYCC, Weld County Conservation Corps:
The Weld County Youth Conservation Corps (WCYCC) engages its corps members in meaningful community and conservation (land, water, energy) service projects throughout Weld County. From 4-week summer crews to year-round crews, WCYCC serves youth and young adults ages 17 – 24.
WCYCC is backed and supported by the Board of Weld County Commissioners, and operates through the Employment Services of Weld County offices (Dept. of Human Services).

WCYCC’s TIGHT:
WCYCC TIGHT serves youth and young adults ages 14 – 17.
Crew operates in partnership with the Weld County Child Welfare division.
Urgent Services ProvidedWCYCC, Weld County Conservation Corps:
Sponsored by the Corporation for National and Community Service, AmeriCorps is a commitment-based program where corps members receive a monthly living stipend and then receive an Education Award (scholarship) upon successful completion of their service. Corps members can serve with WCYCC in the following hour capacities: 300, 450, 900, or 1700 hours. From voluntary community service projects to contracted chainsaw projects, AmeriCorps members are engaged in a wide variety of impactful service opportunities.

WCYCC’s TIGHT:
All corps members are referred to TIGHT through case managers and are enrolled in the program for just a summer, or up to six-months. TIGHT works closely with Child Welfare, Weld County Probation, North Range Behavioral Health, and the 19th Judicial District to ensure that corps members are engaged in a positive and structured environment where they can work on educational achievements and healthy engagement in their communities.
