Description of Service
The focus of the SCSEP is to foster and promote useful part-time training opportunities in community service activities for persons 55 years or older who are unemployed.
SCSEP is committed to improving the quality of life for low-income, financially eligible seniors by assigning them to temporary subsidized training and assisting them in their search for jobs within their community.
Training is provided through a variety of community service positions including but not limited to:
- Child Care
- Customer Service
- Teacher's Aide
- Computer Technician
- Building Maintenance
- Health Care Worker
Unemployed seniors age 55 or older. Must meet specified income requirements.
