Description of Service
Provides education and promotes school readiness for preschool aged children by enhancing the social and cognitive development of a child.
Educational services include but are not limited to:
- Language and cognitive development
- Early reading skills
- Math skills
- Social-emotional development
- Physical development
The Head Start Program also offers support services to families with children enrolled in the program. Support services include but are not limited to:
- Nutrition information and services
- Health-related services
- Child care
- Temporary shelter
There are multiple center locations that administer the Head Start Program for Mesa County. Contact for more information on specific locations.
Clients can call to schedule an appointment with an advocate that can enroll the child into the program.
- Birth Certificate for the child
- Proof of income for the household
For children ages 3 -5 , with families who meet specific income guidelines.
