Description of Service
The Family Planning clinic is staffed by highly skilled nurse practitioners, registered nurses, medical assistants and support staff ensuring quality, strictly confidential, health care.
Annual exams may consist of breast exams, pelvic exams, and pap smears based on age and screening requirements:
- Ages 16-18 – None of the above exams are required to receive family planning services.
- Ages 19 and older – Breast, pelvic and pap smear screenings are done based on recommended guidelines and previous physical history.
Family Planning staff can help you decide which birth control choice is right for you. We offer:
- Mirena IUD
- Liletta IUD
- Paraguard IUD
- Nexplanon Implant
- Depo-Provera shot
- Nuva Ring
- Hormonal patches
- Birth control pills
- Emergency contraceptive/Plan B
Family Planning offers no cost pregnancy testing, option counseling services, and referrals to community resources for prenatal care.
