General Information
Description of ServiceProvides 4 Medicare Savings program to individuals receiving Social Security and/or Medicare.

QDWI (Qualified Disabled and Working Individual)
- Not eligible for SSDI because of earnings
- Cannot be eligible for any other Health First Colorado category
- Your a working disabled person under 65
- You lost your premium-free Part A when you went back to work
- You aren't getting medical assistance
- Income $2044 for an individual $2764 for couple
- Resources $4000 for an individual $6000 for couple

Benefit:
- Covers Medicare Part A


QI-1 (Qualified Individuals)
- If you have income from working, you may qualify for benefits even if your income is higher than the limits listed
- Must currently be eligible for Medicare Part A
- Income $1386 for an individual, $1872 for couple
- Resources $9060 or an individual, $14,340 for a couple

Benefit:
- Pays Medicare Part B premium
- Benefit may go retroactive 90 days


SLMB (Special Low-Income Medicare Beneficiary)
- If you have income from working, you may qualify for benefits even if your income is higher than the limits listed
- Must currently be eligible for Medicare Part A
- Income $1234 for an individual, $1666 for couple
- Resources $9060 or an individual, $14,340 for a couple

Benefit:
- Pays Medicare Part B premium only
- Benefit may go retroactive 90 days


QMB (Qualified Medicare Beneficiary)
- Prescriptions are covered under Medicare D
- Must currently be eligible for Medicare A
- Income $1032 for an individual, $1392 for couple
- Resources $9060 or an individual, $14, 340 for a couple

Benefit:
- Pays for monthly Medicare premiums, deductibles and co-insurance
- Eligibility begins the month after the application is approved
