Description of Service
Transgender of the Rockies exists as a community-specific treatment program for gay and bisexual men who are impacted by methamphetamine addiction. Group sessions, one-on-one counseling, and holistic approaches are offered to support an individual's journey through their recovery. Services are supported through grants and contracts and are provided at no charge. The Mile High Recovery Project uses the Matrix Model intensive outpatient treatment program that addresses the diversity of factors that contribute to methamphetamine addiction within this population. Drug use, self-esteem, and sexual behaviors are all addressed in the context of recovery. The program, called Getting Off, is a range of group activities that are related to long-term recovery success.
