Description of Service
Offers a monthly supplemental food program to seniors on the first Thursday of every month from 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Each month, a box may be filled with the following items:
- 2 large containers of fruit juice
- 2 containers of 1% shelf-stable milk
- 2 boxes of cereal
- 1 grain item
- 1 protein item
- Canned fruits
- Canned vegetables
- 2 lb. block of cheese
In addition, The Action Center supplements these boxes with extra stock, which could include:
- Fresh breads or desserts
- Fresh fruits or vegetables
- Canned beans or vegetables
Also offers a Self-Select Grocery program.

Individuals must provide:
- Proof of income
- Photo ID
- Must register at least one week prior to the distribution day (no walk-ins)
No one can pick up food unless there is written permission (proxy form) on file at The Action Center.
Seniors who participate in the CSFP (Senior Foods Program) will still qualify to receive food from The Action Center's Self-Select Grocery:
- The CSFP program 12 times a year
- The Action Center Self-Select Grocery program 9 times a year
In the event The Action Center is closed or has a delayed start on the first Thursday, the CSFP (Senior Foods Program) distribution will take place the following Thursday.
Seniors 60 and older with an individual income less than $1,316 per month
