Urgent Services ProvidedFood Assistance:
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is the Food Assistance program in Colorado. SNAP provides food benefits to low-income households. Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards are issued and are used at most grocery stores to buy food, ensuring that families have access to a healthy diet.

Energy Assistance (LEAP):
Low-Income Energy Assistance (LEAP) is a federally funded program that helps eligible hard working Colorado families, seniors and individuals pay a portion of their winter home heating costs.
The program runs from November 1st to April 30th.

Financial Assistance:
Colorado Works is Colorado’s Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program and provides public assistance to families in need. The program is designed to help customers become self-sufficient by strengthening the economic and social stability of families.

The Aid to the Blind program provides cash assistance to low-income Colorado Residents, age 18 and over, who have at least a six-month total disability that precludes them from working.

The Aid to the Needy Disable (AND) program provides cash assistance to low-income Coloradans with a disability that prevents work, as documented by a licensed physician.

The Old Age Pension (OAP) program provides monthly cash assistance grants to low-income Coloradans aged 60 years or older.

Medical Assistance:
Health First Colorado, Colorado’s Medicaid Program is free or low cost public health insurance for Coloradans who qualify.

Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+), is a low-cost public health insurance for Colorado’s uninsured children and pregnant women who earn too much to qualify for Health First Colorado, but cannot afford private insurance.
