General Information
Description of ServiceThe Morgan County Ambulance Service crews provide on-scene Advanced Life Support care for an area of 1,296 square miles of Morgan County. In addition they provide pre-hospital services for parts of Weld County, Logan County, Washington County, Adams County and/or an additional 1,300 square miles. MCAS responds on average to eight calls per day, including 9-1-1 and hospital transfers.
Urgent Services ProvidedPatients are transported to one of the two local hospitals within Morgan County, a level 3 trauma center located in Fort Morgan and a level 4 trauma center located in Brush. Patients in the extreme western portion of our county as well as many of the patients requiring helicopter transport are often transported to Northern Colorado Medical Center, a level 2 trauma center located in Greeley, CO or level one centers located in Denver, CO.
