Description of Service
Provides discounted high-speed internet service at home for $9.95 per month (plus tax) for families with school-age children who are currently receiving free or reduced-price lunch. Eligible families also have the option to buy a computer for $149.99 (plus tax) that includes Microsoft Office and Norton™ Security Suite. There is no credit check, no term contract, and no installation fees.

Applicants must present a copy of one of the following items from the current or previous year:
- Letter from school on school letterhead stating the student is receiving free or reduced lunches form the National School Lunch Program - A letter showing the family is receiving food stamps from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) may be substituted for the letter from the school if student is receiving homeschooling, accompanied by a signed letter from the parent explaining homeschooling situation.

Families who have at least one child who qualifies for the National School Lunch Program. Eligible families cannot have outstanding debt to Comcast that is less than a year old. Families with debt to Comcast more than one year old may still qualify. Families must also live in an area where Comcast is available, but have not subscribed to it within the past 90 days.
