General Information
Description of ServiceDescription of Service:

- Study causes of illness and injury in Mesa County (includes communicable disease, chronic disease, preventable injury, and maternal and child health).

- Investigate cases and outbreaks of reportable disease occurring in Mesa County residents. A current list of diseases that are reportable in Colorado is available at www.health.mesacounty.us.

- Provide education to community members, healthcare providers, and other partners on diseases that impact our community like rabies, tularemia and hantavirus.

- Assess the health of the county and identify health priorities by conducting a Community Health Needs Assessment every three years.

- Develop and publish special reports to further explore and understand health topics identified in the Community Health Needs Assessment.
