Senior Programming at the Carbon Valley Senior Center is open to all seniors age 55 and older.
Urgent Services Provided
The Carbon Valley Senior Center offers a variety of social, fitness, educational, recreational, wellness, and cultural opportunities for adults age 55 and older. From indoor skydiving to coloring groups to Zumba gold, we're here to help you live your best life.
Drop in any time during business hours to check out the facility and meet new people. The senior library offers a diverse selection of books and puzzles and our lounge is the perfect place to play a game, do a craft, or simply enjoy a cup of coffee. A computer is also available for daily use during business hours. We hope you'll join us for activities, lunches, socializing, trips, and lots of fun!
We strive to enhance the lives of every person 55 and older by providing fitness, wellness, education and social opportunities to improve health and leisure concepts for a lifetime.
If you're in need of transportation to medical appointments or grocery store/drug store, call Senior Resource Services at 970-352-9348. Appointments for transportation must be scheduled at least three days in advance.
The Center has a limited amount of wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, shower stools, toilet raisers, etc. for loan. The American Legion has items also and can be reached at 303-833-3878.
Volunteers make great things happen at the center. We work with RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) so volunteers can track their hours using a recording sheet which is available at the AA Center office. Whether answering phones, making newcomers feel welcome, or checking in lunch guests, our volunteers are the foundation to our successful program. Join us at the Senior Center every Wednesday at noon for a hot meal. Menus will be available the first of each month along with a monthly program review. Stay after lunch every Wednesday to play Bridge, Dominoes, Chicken Foot and more. Registration is required by 11 am the day before the lunch.

The County’s Senior Nutrition Program provides nutritious and delicious noon-time meals for seniors. The Senior Nutrition Program’s meal strives to meet 33 1/3 percent of the daily recommended dietary allowance. For more information and menu’s visit www.weldaaa.org Click here for this month's menu.
Blood Pressure Checks:
Join us the third Wednesday of the month at 11:45 am to keep up on your heart stats. Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT’s) are available to check your blood pressure at the Active Adult/Senior Center.
At Wednesday's lunch, once a month, we have “BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS” If it's your birthday during that month we'll all celebrate and sing “Happy Birthday to You!”
