Description of Service
The Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP) assists low-income working families with childcare expenses.
Children must be under the age of 13 and are required to be U.S. citizens or legal resident aliens. Families receiving assistance are expected to pay a parent fee to the provider at the first of each month. This fee is from 7 to 14 percent of the household's gross income, plus a small increase for each additional child.
The funding for the Child Care Assistance Program is a limited dollar amount per year, so a qualified family might be placed on a waiting list until sufficient funding becomes available.
