Description of Service
Provides program assistance for victims of child abuse and their families through the CASA Program (Court Appointed Special Advocate) and the Child Advocacy Center(CAC).
- Child focused environment to support child victims of
sexual and physical abuse and their non-offending family
- Child victim has an opportunity to tell his/her story to
an unbiased professional.
- Offers non-offending family members crisis intervention,
support and access to mental health and medical
- Intervention helps children stabilize and begin the
process of healing, while giving the child a voice.
Referrals can only be made from the Weld County Court
Children ages birth through 18 engaged in out of home placement in Weld County, CASA Volunteers are adults over the age of 21 who successfully undergo the screening and training process and are appointed by the judge.
