Description of Service
Provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Currently, twenty summer and winter sports are offered. Prior to any competition, all athletes are required to engage in a training program. Competitions are offered locally, at State Games, and at World Games. Over 80 events are available to athletes statewide.

A medical examination by a doctor is required before individuals can compete.
Applications available in Spanish
Individuals must be:
- at least 8 years of age (children 2-7 years of age may participate in skills training program)
- classified with a developmental disability OR
- identified as handicapped due to cognitive delays and significant learning or vocational problems
