Description of Service
Hires women to work in the 6 to 9-month transitional employment program on a full-time basis, Monday through Friday, while providing hands-on job training through assembly of gourmet food products.
Once employed, each client receives job readiness training through hands-on manufacturing work, various workshops, classes, referrals to community resources, and paid transitional employment. Once employed, each client also receives life skills training to strengthen the areas of communication, problem-solving, and goal-setting to become self-sufficient and empowered to make a better life for herself and her family.
Adams, Arapahoe, Broomfield, Denver, Jefferson counties
Walk in to complete a brief application; applicants will be contacted to start the interview process when openings are available
Women who are 21 or older, chronically unemployed the last three years and in recovery for at least six months
Participants must also be able to:
- Work Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Stand for most of the work day
