Description of Service
Provides volunteer-escorted rides to medical appointments and pharmacies. Volunteer drivers can accommodate destinations throughout Boulder County with some limited availability for requests outside the county. Ride fulfillment is based on volunteer driver availability.
Call BCCC to enroll in the Medical Mobility program, or visit the website for more information. A signed Client Waiver must be mailed, faxed, or dropped off at the BCCC office before services can be provided. Ride requests require a minimum of seven days' advance notice to schedule transportation.
When making ride requests, please have the following information available:
- Requested time of pick up
- Appointment time
- Estimated return time
- Medical facility name and address
Due to the voluntary nature of the program, service cannot be guaranteed at the time of scheduling. Rides can be coordinated outside of regular business hours.
For new enrollments, please allow ten days prior to the first ride request.
Medical Mobility cannot accept ride requests for Medicaid-approved medical appointments or return ride requests for clients who will be receiving deep anesthesia and require third-party signatures for patient release.
