Description of Service
Provides utility assistance for individuals with a shut off notice.
During LEAP Season, Xcel Energy customers must apply for LEAP first. If an Xcel customer already has a disconnect notice, they need to notify the Human Services Department to expedite the LEAP application processing and avoid disconnection.
If utility assistance is still needed, the letter of either approval or denial from LEAP is required by House of Neighborly to evaluate the client's situation.
Cities of Loveland, Berthoud, Drake
Call or walk in during business hours to set up an interview with a caseworker.
Clients will need to provide the following documentation:
- Proof of Residence
- Proof of Income
- Photo ID
- Social Security Cards for household
- Leap letter of approval or denial
- Shut-off notice
