Description of Service
Assists low-income individuals and families with the costs of purchasing food. This program is a supplement to a household's nutritional needs for the month.
Beginning October 1st, 2018, dial 2-1-1 to start a SNAP application over the telephone.
Call or visit the website for more information; walk-ins are accepted during normal business hours Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Clients will need to provide the following documentation:
- Photo ID
- Proof of income
Colorado PEAK provides a questionnaire that will give people answers about whether or not they may qualify for benefits for programs that provide food assistance, cash assistance, WIC supplemental nutrition benefits, and other types of assistance. Access Colorado PEAK at https://coloradopeak.secure.force.com/
The MyCOBenefits app is available to individuals who receive SNAP, Colorado Works, and Adult Financial benefits and is available in both the Apple and Android app stores. The app allows users to access their benefit information, report changes, check EBT card balances and more.
Applicants will need to meet one of the following criteria:
- Be unemployed, work part time, or work for low wages
- Receive other public assistance payments
- Be elderly or disabled and live on a fixed, limited income
- Be homeless
