Assists individuals having tax problems with the IRS and recommend changes that will prevent issues. Services available for the following situations:
- Tax issues is causing financial difficulties for an individual, family, or business
- Repeated attempts to contact the IRS with no response
- Immediate threat of adverse action to an individual or business
Taxpayers may walk-in, call, or complete an inquiry form to start the intake process. If the case meets program criteria, the case will be assigned to a Case Advocate who will contact the taxpayer to assist them. If the case does not meet criteria, the taxpayer is contacted by phone or email with an explanation as to why their case does not meet the criteria.
