Law students handle civil and criminal cases for low-income and indigent people. Civil cases include: Day labor wage and hour claims, employment discrimination, domestic violence protection orders, and eviction defense. Criminal cases include: City ordinance and misdemeanor offenses, juvenile cases, and criminal record sealing cases. No traffic, DUI/DWAI, or felonies cases are handled.
The Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic provides legal representation to individuals who are involved in controversies with the Internal Revenue Service. Representation is by students under the supervision of the Director and Deputy Director.
