General Information
Description of ProgramProvides the following for qualified youth:

- crisis intervention
- information and referral
- message and conferencing services
- free bus rides home
- confidential hotline for runaway and other homeless youth and their families in the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii

The Switchboard is in operation twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. It is designed to provide a neutral channel of communication between runaway and homeless youth and their families and to refer them to appropriate agencies for assistance.
