Description of Program
Provides psychological therapy and psychological testing services to the community on a sliding scale. Psychiatric services may be available for clients who are actively engaged in concurrent individual therapy at the clinic. Services are provided by doctoral level student therapists pursuing their PsyD degree, and they are supervised by licensed psychologists. Therapy is available for individuals, couples and families in a range of modalities. There are a number of specialty clinics associated with the Professional Psychology Clinic who serve survivors of international disasters, abuse or other trauma, as well as veterans, service members and their families, and those with cancer or their significant others.
Call to complete a phone screening with a Clinic Assistant, which takes about 15 - 30 minutes; clients will be asked about the services they are looking for and issues they would like to address, and information will be provided about the clinic. The Clinic Assistant will provide an estimated wait list time (if applicable) for the service requested, and clients will be assigned a student therapist as soon as possible.
Anyone who was just released from a hospital is not eligible for counseling services; call for more information or for other restrictions.
